Spaghetti Recipe Sauce
Most spaghetti sauce recipes are very easy and simple to make. You can add all kinds of ingredients to it and it will still come out nicely.
You can simply throw in some tomato sauce, basil, oregano, garlic and voila, you will have a nice pan of spaghetti sauce which is rich in vitaminc C and lycopene.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 pound ground beef
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 1 pound onion, chopped
- 2 cans (12 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 2 cans (6 oz) tomato paste
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped fine
- 1 1/2 teaspoon oregano leaves
- 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup bouillon
- 2 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 2 small bay leaves, crushed
- 1/2 pound fresh sliced mushrooms
Instructions:
1. In a skillet, brown the ground beef and sausage for 7 minutes.
2. After that, add in the garlic and onions and let it cook for another 5 minutes.
3. Slowly stir in the oregano leaves, basil, tomatoes, tomato paste, bouillon, sugar, salt and pepper.
4. Let it simmer uncovered over low heat for 2 1/2 hours until the sauce becomes thick. Be sure to stir often so that the paste doesn't stick in the bottom.
5. Add in the mushrooms and cheese and let it continue cooking for another 30 minutes.
6. Serve and enjoy!
