Italian Spaghetti Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 green pepper, finely chopped
- 2 cans (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 2 cans (12 oz) tomato paste
- 1 can (7 1/2 oz) pitted ripe olives, drained and sliced
- 1 bay leaf, crumbled
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 (1 1/2 oz) spaghetti sauce mix
- 3 cups water
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, add in the sauce mix and mix it with the mushrooms.
2. In a skillet, add in the ground beef, green pepper and onion. Cook and stir until the meat is brown and the onion is tender.
3. Stir in the garlic, olives, bay leaf, sugar and water.
4. Cover and let it simmer for about 90 minutes. Be sure to stir occasionally.
